Hello my name is Eliane Punefu i am a year 12 student at Papakura High School. Me and my partner has been given a task to coach Yr 9 &10 about Ultra Rip. I had 3 or 4 weeks to teach them about them how to play the game and also explain more of the rules of ultra rip. Having this experience was really amazing because i got to get the chance to have a bond with the team we had, and also there was lots of laughter all around. We coach the juniors 3 days weekly, and in that 3 days me and my partner will show different skills they can yous when it comes to tournament week. I sometimes add in different calls, to get them in like ill use my voice at times or like i blow the whistle once and everyone will just stop on the spot, and my partner will explain what they did wrong, or what they can improve on. When we have a day to coaching the juniors , me and my partner take turns each time we have them, one day ill coach the yr 9/10 and my partner will be there to help me when i get stuck on something. It also goes the other way around to, she will take another day and ill help her to. I'm lucky i got a partner that was actually more mature , because at times i start playing up which it isn't really good because i'm influencing those to copy me and not focus on the task.
